Parkinson’s disease is a progressive disorder of the nervous system. It develops gradually, often starting as a slight tremor in one hand, progressing to stiffness and slowing of movement. In the early stages of Parkinson’s disease, the face may show decreased expression, speech may become soft/slurred, and arms may cease to swing when one walks. Symptoms worsen over time.
